This plan will guide our staff in identifying symptoms and responding appropriately. For food sensitivities such as lactose intolerance, a physician's signature is not required, but please provide us with the necessary information.
What if my child has dietary restrictions?

How do you handle challenging behavior?
Recurring behavior issues will be handled inclusively, involving observation and parent communication. If a child exhibits chronic disruptive behavior, the following steps will be taken: Initial behavior concerns will be discussed in short conversations at pick-up. If inappropriate behavior continues, parents will meet with the Director to create a plan to address the behavior. Ongoing communication with parents will follow as we work together to resolve the issue. A behavior contract will be implemented if the initial plan fails, and suspensions may occur. In extreme cases, services may be terminated after two suspensions if a solution is not found.
What are the discipline guidelines?
We use positive methods of discipline and guidance, including positive language and redirection, to encourage self-esteem, self-control, and self-direction. Disruptive behaviors such as hitting, kicking, spitting, biting, and hostile verbal behavior are prohibited. If such behaviors persist, parents will be contacted, and a guidance and discipline contract will be provided. In extreme cases, a same-day suspension may occur.
What is the process for withdrawing my child from the center?
Parents may terminate the caregiver agreement with a two-week notice. A termination form must be completed and signed before the child’s last day. Withdrawal may also occur due to non-payment of tuition or fees or if a child receives three suspensions.
